Once upon a time there was a girl with a fabric stash. This girl liked to sew, although with two babies and ten years of marriage and moves, and some of them were intensive, expensive, moving-van-driving car-towing three day cross-country moves, her sewing time was limited. (It was non-existent.) Moves are rough, especially when you move so far that it requires you to find new doctors and dentists for your kids, to stand in long waits at the DMV for new license plates, to be on the phone forever to update car insurance info (one must do this when one moves to a new state), to hope to make a bunch of friends in the next few months. (It takes time! Loneliness is real!) Setting up house again and again, getting used to the new area, not getting lost, finding new parks to play at, and new libraries to borrow from, it gets overwhelming.
